Flexible UV light guides for spot-curing systems provide rapid and controlled light curing of UV adhesives, coatings, and sealants. A liquid light guide is an optical instrument comprised of a light-conducting liquid core within plastic tubing. The liquid is non-toxic, non-flammable, and transparent from 270 to 720 nm. The ends of UV curing wands are sealed with high-quality quartz glass and metal spiral tubing, surrounded by a plastic sleeve for exterior protection.
Dymax® light shields are designed to protect operators from ultraviolet and visible light while allowing clear visibility of curing parts. Light Shields are part of the flood lamp light-curing system and offer 360º of protection so the operator can safely observe objects in the curing process.
An Accessory for UV Curing Control & Safety
The Dymax® ZIP™ shutter is designed as an accessory to use with Dymax® UV flood lamps to control UV exposure time. Shutters also prevent operator exposure when opening shields.
Dymax® flood lamps require a few minutes to warm up after ignition. Turning the lamp off and on negatively affects the lifetime of the bulb. With a Dymax® shutter installed, the flood lamp may stay on continuously.
Manual Shutters for use with UV Light Curing Flood Lamp Equipment Systems
The manual shutter is a safety-enhancing device that reduces heat on work area surfaces and operator exposure to UV/visible light. Made of light-weight brushed aluminum, this low cost shutter has a two-direction hand-turn knob for opening and closing and can be used with the Dymax® Light Shield and all flood curing systems.
Dymax® flood lamps use a medium pressure arc bulb as a source of radiant energy. This bulb requires a few minutes to warm up after ignition, before it reaches a steady state and after being turned off, and needs a few minutes to cool before being able to ignite again. Turning the bulb off and on negatively affects the lifetime of the bulb.
Dymax® mounting stands are lightweight and easy to use and they securely hold light-curing emitters and lamps in place for benchtop curing applications. The mounting stands can be paired with 3-sided acrylic shields to protect users from LED or UV/Visible light while allowing clear visibility of curing parts.
Mounting kits are designed to work with flood lamps, BlueWave® MX-Series curing systems but are not compatible with Dymax® shutters. Kits include a pedestal, work surface, mounting hardware, shield, and protective safety glasses.
Utilizes PROFINET or EtherNet/IP Protocols to Independently Drive Emitters
CE Marked - Available Globally
Dymax® BlueWave® MX-MIM machine interface module is designed for machine builders and automated equipment using the PROFINET and EtherNet/IP network protocols. These two protocols allow machine builders to greatly reduce I/O channels and free up analog control cards compared to traditional analog- and digital-relay-logic PLC control systems.
Machine interface module only.
Emitters, interconnect cables to connect controller to emitters, and power supply sold separately.
CE Marked – Available Globally
Dymax® BlueWave® MX-series multichannel controllers are available in 2- and 4-channel versions, allowing manufacturers to use just one controller to run up to four emitter work stations. Each emitter can be controlled independently of the others or in any combination to produce flood and light bar patterns. Activation can be by foot pedal or through an enhanced PLC and interface. The controllers are compatible with all Dymax® MX-series emitters including the BlueWave® MX-150 spot lamp, BlueWave® MX-250 flood lamp, and BlueWave® MX-275 light bar. Interconnect cables are available in 2-, 5-, 10-, and 20-meters lengths, allowing emitters to be stationed further from the controller.
