Multipurpose medical device adhesives are designed to rapidly bond medical-grade plastics upon exposure to UV/Visible light. The products meet ISO approvals and bond well to many different substrates including tinted and UV-inhibited plastics. Some formulations feature patented Encompass® technology which enables easy visual confirmation of adhesive placement and cure and fluorescence for post-cure quality inspection.

N/A Flexible Plastics Adhesive with Ultra-Red® Fluorescing Technology

Dymax® MD® 1172-M-UR medical device adhesive is designed for rapid bonding of COC, COP, and a variety of other plastics typically used in the manufacture of medical devices. Applications include in vitro diagnostics, reservoir assembly, transducer assembly, and medical potting. 1172-M-UR fluoresces bright red under low-intensity black light (365 nm). The bright red fluorescence contrasts extremely well on plastics that naturally fluoresce blue in color (like PVC), and greatly assists with visual inspection of bond-line area. This flexible, Ultra-Red® fluorescing product bonds a wide variety of substrates including COC, COP, ABS, PC, PMMA, PVC, EVA, PA, PCTG, PEBA, PEI, PET, PETG, PS, PSU, SAN, TPU, CER, AL, and Stainless Steel.

Dymax® MD® medical device adhesives have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds enables faster processing, greater output, and lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax® light-curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for medical device assembly. Dymax® lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.
