Rapid UV-Curable Maskant with Moderate-Adhesion for Surface Treatment and Protection SpeedMask® 7701 maskant provides excellent surface protection during many plating, decorative etching and anodizing, blasting, and powder-coating processes. The material also has the ability to remain flexible at higher temperature processes up to 204°C [400°F]. 7701 can be sprayed or dipped onto parts and cures quickly upon exposure to light energy. The product is easily removed after processing and a hot-water soak may be also used to ease removal. When properly cured, the masking resin leaves no residue on non-porous surfaces. Typical applications include plating, anodizing, powder coating, part handling, grit blasting, and shot peening. Recommended surfaces include nickel alloys, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, cobalt, and glass. Dymax® materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax® UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax® lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.
