SpeedMask® maskants have no solvents added and are designed to protect metal components prior to surface finishing processes. The masks are applied in one layer and cure in seconds "on-demand" when exposed to UV/Visible light. They are designed to protect components from harsh grit blasting, acid stripping, laser drilling, and chemical processing. Many maskants feature bright colors to enable easy visual placement onto substrates. After proper cure, the materials also leave no silicone, ionic contamination, or corrosive residues behind. Recommended surfaces include nickel superalloys, high-temperature steel, titanium, cobalt, and stainless steel.

  • UV/Visible light cure
  • Replace labor-intensive application of waxes, tapes, lacquers
  • Spray, dip, or screen print application
  • Conform to complex and intricate configurations
  • Apply, cure, treat, and remove in 4 easy steps
  • New components and design changes require no additional investment

N/A Rapid UV-Curable Maskant with Moderate-Adhesion for Surface Treatment and Protection

SpeedMask® 7701 maskant provides excellent surface protection during many plating, decorative etching and anodizing, blasting, and powder-coating processes. The material also has the ability to remain flexible at higher temperature processes up to 204°C [400°F].

7701 can be sprayed or dipped onto parts and cures quickly upon exposure to light energy. The product is easily removed after processing and a hot-water soak may be also used to ease removal. When properly cured, the masking resin leaves no residue on non-porous surfaces. Typical applications include plating, anodizing, powder coating, part handling, grit blasting, and shot peening. Recommended surfaces include nickel alloys, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, cobalt, and glass.

Dymax® materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax® UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax® lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.
  • no solvents added, one-part formulations
  • High visibility colors for accurate material placement
  • One-layer of material is all that's needed
